Submission Guidelines, Terms and Conditions

Submissions are limited to photos that were taken on the Strasburg Photography Tour only.

All entries must be submitted by midnight November 25th. Entries are entered by uploading digital files through this website. You may submit as many photos as you like. Photos should be JPG format no larger than 1600px wide. Photos will be presented to the contest sponsors starting 11/26 without revealing who each photographer is until judging is complete on Dec 4th. Please provide your entries without a watermark for the contest. At the conclusion of the contest, you may swap out images for those with watermarks if desired.

Entries will be renamed and delivered to contest sponsors anonymously

By submission, you grant the sponsor a royalty-free, nonexclusive right to use the photograph on the internet including social media. All entries may be used by Visit Lancaster PA (VLPA) on any VLPA web asset, in a slideshow, or in any other media provided that all uses are accompanied by appropriate attribution to the photographer. Entrants retain ownership and all other rights to future use of their photographs. A selection of winning photos may be featured on VLPA 's website.

Entry of photographs into the Contest implies acceptance of these conditions, regardless of whether entrants sign a statement confirming acceptance.

By entering, you retain copyright and remain the owner of your images and may also continue to use them in any manner you choose. You agree that the images you submit may be used in printed publications, on websites, in a slideshow and screensaver, may be uploaded on social media channels, or in any other media provided that you are afforded appropriate attribution as the photographer. We will be mindful to not use the images in high resolution without a watermark.

When using the winning photo, the contest sponsors will always make a meaningful attempt to give proper credit to the photographer, however the winning photo may be used in publications that make direct attribution difficult. It is at the sponsor's discretion regarding the promotion of the winning photos, however VLPA will be publishing the photos along with full photographer credits on this website and social media. VLPA will encourage sponsors to promote the winning photo and photographer behind it. The contest sponsor may request a higher resolution version of your photograph for print purposes. You may negotiate a watermark at that time.
